Our Mission and Philosophy

Odyssey House, Inc. is a multi-service therapeutic community for the treatment of people with substance abuse problems.  Its mission is to provide intervention, primary and secondary substance abuse prevention, and treatment services to the community at large, with a focus on the indigent population.  The organization's overall goal is to indirectly prevent ten people from abusing drugs for every one person who is treated at the facilty for substance abuse. Our principle goal is to interrupt the intergenerational cycle of poverty and substance abuse by returning productive members of society back to families, with the provision of community education and "right-way" positive character transformation for a more productive society.
