Outpatient Programs
The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) involves supportive individual and group therapy focusing on skills to overcome addiction and build self-esteem. IOP clients participate in the program a minimum of one hour group therapy two days a week. The length of the program is six to twelve months. The Outpatient Program is very similiar to the overall structured Odyssey program, but clients will meet less frequently for group therapy, and have less one-on-one therapy with a psychologist.
Aftercare
Aftercare is an integral part of the Outpatient and Residential Treatment Program. The Odyssey Concept creates an extended family environment. Many graduates come back to invest in the community to help others who start the program. The goal of aftercare planning is to create a strategic plan for the client to meet their personal goals and assist clients in mainstreaming back into society. All clients are encouraged to seek support and utilize other community agencies that serve as resources to maintain their sobriety. After care stategic planning may include applying for supportive housing, entering a community college program, job placement, or interfacing with other NA or AA groups.
